I am a Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist at Tata Medical Center, Kolkata. I have completed my Oncology Fellowship at TMC between 2011 to 2013, after which I joined as Consultant in the same department. I was awarded the prestigious European Society of Gynaecological Oncology Travelling Fellowship, which involved both observation and hands on training for a limited time period in United Kingdom ( Gateshead and London) and France. Till date I have treated ovarian cancer patients with advanced cytoreductive surgery from Kolkata, Bihar, Orissa and Bangladesh. I specialize in advanced laparoscopic surgery of endometrial cancer which consists of total laparoscopic hysterectomy, bilateral salpingo oophorectomy, retroperitoneal lymphaedenectomy( both pevic and paraaortic lymph nodes) and omentectomy. I have successfully treated cervical, vulval and vaginal cancer . I completed my basic medical education and postgraduation in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from JIPMER, Pondicherry. I have worked in NHS, UK for 2 years and also in various educational institutes in India before qualifying as gynaecological oncologist.
